Leading Pakistani writer Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar has announced to write a story in the style of Turkish drama “Ertugrul Ghazi”.
Author Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar, who has given several successful serials to Pakistan, including “I have you” and “Dear Afzal”, said during a recent talk show that he intended to make the drama serial “Ertugrul Ghazi” in Pakistan. Yes, and for that, he has started writing his story. Turkish drama serial “Ertugrul Ghazi” has set new records of popularity in Pakistan. Not only do people like this drama immensely on YouTube, but it is also trending on Twitter and YouTube and Pakistani social media is full of characters and dialogues of this drama.
I am reading different books on this subject and will start writing in a week. Khalil-ur-Rehman added that the production house Sik Sigma will produce the play. While the director will be Nadeem Baig, it will not include any kind of fiction. The main character will be played by Humayun Saeed. The drama is gaining popularity among the Pakistani people, followed by discussions on social media by fans after each episode. Ertugrul Ghazi’s fame in Turkey is far greater than that of his fans in Pakistan.
In view of the growing popularity of this drama in Pakistan, the anchor of a private TV channel invited Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar to his talk show and asked him if he could work on such a story, given the popularity of Ertugrul.
