RAWALPINDI: Pakistan today conducted a successful launch of the test range through 1A Shaheen (Hatf IV) ballistic missiles.

The successful launch was aimed at re-validation of various design and technical parameters of the weapon system. Shaheen 1A missile capable of carrying nuclear and conventional warheads to a range of 900 kilometers.
Launching today, with the point in the Arabian Sea on impact, was seen by the head of the Navy Staff Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah Division Chief Strategic Plans, Lieutenant General Zubair Mahmood Hayat , commander of the Army strategic force command, Lieutenant General Obaid Ullah Khan, Vice Admiral Zafar Mehmood Abbasi, Commander Pakistan fleet, President NESCOM Mr Muhammad Irfan Burney, senior officers from the strategic forces, scientists and engineers of strategic organizations.
Navy Chief Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah staff, congratulated the scientists and engineers for their dedication, professionalism and commitment to achieving Full Spectrum credible minimum deterrence capability of Pakistan.

Shaheen-1A with its very specific and locally advanced guidance system is among the most accurate missile system.
He reiterated Pakistan’s resolve to peaceful co-existence in the region and appreciated the professional skills of all those involved to accomplish the sacred mission. He showed his confidence in the ability of the Pakistani armed forces to protect the safety of Mother Earth against any aggression.
The successful test launch has also been warmly appreciated by the President and Prime Minister of Pakistan who congratulated the participating troops, scientists and engineers on their outstanding achievement.
